Principal

I am proud to be the principal of Landing Trail School. I remain deeply honoured to lead the school where I started my teaching journey over two decades ago. With 25 years of experience in education, I have taught students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 in rural, urban, and international settings, and I previously served as Vice-Principal of Namao School for two years.

I hold a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Yorkville University, a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Alberta, an Associate Diploma (ARCT) in Piano Performance, and Leadership Quality Standard (LQS) Certification.

As principal of both Landing Trail and Legal Public Schools, I focus on building strong, respectful relationships, ensuring that students learn in a safe and caring environment, and supporting high-quality teaching practices rooted in evidence and reflection. I believe in the power of meaningful learning, where critical thinking, creativity, and real-world relevance help students grow into capable, kind, and resilient individuals.

This year, our theme is #webelong, a reminder that school is a place where students, staff, and families each play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive environment. Belonging is built together through honesty, interest, and accountability, and a shared commitment to helping every child thrive.

I’m grateful to work alongside our communities and look forward to the year ahead.
